How rankings work on Collectrio

Crowdsourced Sleeve / Swap / Store and Train / Trade / Transfer values — contribute three ranks to grow the public board.

Two boards, two verb sets

On Cards, the live verbs are Sleeve, Swap, and Store. On GO, they are Train, Trade, and Transfer. Sleeve or Train ranks above a fair Swap or Trade, which ranks above Store or Transfer.

Cards and GO never mix into one leaderboard. A Cards name cannot beat a GO name, because they never share a trio. Catalogs, vote APIs, rankings pages, and calculators stay product-local. If a conversation tries to balance cardboard against a shiny legendary, that is barter — not Collectrio methodology. Longer take: two boards never mix.

Contributing a trio

Submit one trio — three ranked choices on that board — to contribute comparisons. You are not buying a price list. You are adding pairwise results so the public Collectrio number can grow as more people rank. The rankings board already shows crowd order for the active lens; Collectrio does not hide the table behind a seed-row teaser.

A Cards contribution does not affect GO, and a GO contribution does not affect Cards. The trade calculator picker on this device may still ask for a local trio before you add new names, while shared calculator links remain readable. The board grows with contributions; Collectrio does not invent live ranking counts here.

What you see on the board

Each row shows rank, name, tier, seven-day trend, a locked-verb action hint from the tier cliff, and a relative value in the public 1000–9999 band. Tiers (Elite through Fringe) are cliffs in the current sorted board, not a second scoring system. Off board means the name is not in the comparable set for the active lens — switch lens or pick other peers. Column literacy: reading the board.

Format lenses change who appears. Cards uses Binder, Playable, and Value. GO uses Dex, Raids, and Trade bait. A lens is a different question, not a skin. Practical tour: how lenses work.

Not a scrape

The public number is an Elo-style score from user comparisons — the scale and recipe live on methodology — not a scrape of TCGPlayer, eBay, or Niantic. Rankings are community Sleeve / Swap / Store and Train / Trade / Transfer values. Short definition of the number: What is the Collectrio number?

Abstract proxies only

Collectrio does not show official card scans, GO sprites, or binder photos. Marks on the site are abstract proxies: a letter, a set number or dex, a rarity chip. Identification is text. That choice keeps the product a comparison tool, not a scan-linked price guide.
