Lenses — Binder, Playable, Value and GO lenses

Binder, Playable, Value and the GO lenses: what each one asks, and why the same card can rank differently under each.

A lens is a different question

A format lens rebuilds who belongs on the board. It is not a cosmetic skin on the same Elo. You pick one lens per trio; rankings store with that lens. Switching lenses rebuilds the comparable set.

Cards uses Binder, Playable, and Value. GO uses Dex, Raids, and Trade bait. Cards and GO never share lenses.

Cards lenses

Binder asks chase, vintage, and binder-page presence. Playable asks deck and format utility. Value asks relative Sleeve / Swap strength for package fairness — still not marketplace dollars.

  • Binder — keep / chase / display.
  • Playable — list and format usefulness.
  • Value — Swap pressure and package math (not dollars).

GO lenses and Off board

Dex covers living dex, shinies, and form collecting. Raids covers raid and battle investment. Trade bait covers what people want to receive in trades.

Off board means the name is in the catalog but not on the served board for this lens — switch lens or accept you are trading on personal intuition for that comparable set. When two lenses disagree, keep two answers; do not average them into a fake single truth.
